ReinUnie - HVC Groep

ReinUnie was created on January 1, 1998, when the municipal waste collection services of Beverwijk, Heemskerk and Velsen merged. It has been part of the HVC Group since April 2007.

The core activities of ReinUnie are waste collection and public space management. Household waste is collected using side loaders: garbage trucks with a robotic arm. 2000 containers with household waste are emptied like this each day. 

Two bring sites
There are underground collection facilities where residents and businesses can deposit glass, paper and textiles. In addition, ReinUnie operates two bring sites where residents of Beverwijk, Heemskerk and Velsen can dispose of their waste. 

64,000 households
Other services ReinUnie provides include collecting bulky household waste, cleaning drains, pest control, gritting and street cleaning. It provides these services in an area with approximately 64,000 households.
