Organic waste - HVC Groep

We believe it is both necessary and worthwhile to sort and collect organic waste, which is why we use it to make compost. Compost is a natural soil improver which stimulates the growth of crops in an environmentally friendly manner.

Adding compost to soil encourages the living organisms in the soil and helps fight plant disease. 

What is organic waste? Organic waste is “natural” waste: flowers, plants, garden trimmings, coffee filters, teabags and other kitchen waste.

Fermentation
We are also planning to start fermenting organic waste. Fermentation is a method of converting organic waste into “green” fuel and compost. Read more about our plans here.
