Recycling & Composting

HVC recycles waste, and makes compost from organic waste. In addition, we process incineration residues for reuse or recycling.

HVCcompostering has its own facilities in Middenmeer and Purmerend, where we compost organic waste. Both are certified to the ISO 9001 standard. The recycling company Sortiva (a joint venture between HVC and GP Groot) recycles all kinds of waste, including bulky household waste, rubble, green waste, plastics, paper and glass.

Cyclas (a joint venture between HVC and Feniks Recycling BV) recycles ferrous and non-ferrous metals and upgrades bottom ash.
